MY FAVORITE DRINKS:

My brother pointed out that I have so many different drinks + Stanley Cups in just one day. And it's true! One of the first things I have my clients adjust to lower inflammation + calm their skin down is to prioritize their water + mineral intake.

So a new one I've added to the rotation is the Peach & Mango Collagen from Clean Simple Eats. It's good with water, but I love having it with the Tropical Fruit Olipop at dinner. 10/10. You get collagen protein + fiber in the most tasty way!

MY FAVORITE FOOD:

At the beginning of my acne journey, I dabbled in the low FODMAP diet, and it requires you to cut out all fruits outside of berries. I don't follow it anymore, but for some reason I never added back other fruits. But lately, I've been watching Trader Joe's Hauls. Do you have a TJ by you?

Everyone kept recommending the Soft & Juicy Mango Dried Fruit. When I tell you it's sooo good - please believe me. I don't know how I went this long without it.

MY FAVORITE SKINCARE PRODUCT:

I'm in a place where my acne is under control with a random pimple here or there, so I've switched my routine to maintenance mode. I'll always have a Vitamin C in the morning, and I alternate exfoliation and my retinol days.

My new focus is anti-aging products that are acne-safe. I just started using BOUNCEBACK aka the "No Botox Serum" by Clearstem + it's replaced my hydrating serum because of how hydrating it is. It has peptides, but peptides take a while to work, so I'll update you in 2 months.

MY FAVORITE PODCAST:

I'm a podcast connoisseur, but most of it is business-building focused. My NON-business one is The Dr. Gabrielle Lyon Show. She's a nutrition-focused, protein advocate, a muscle health advocate. If you care about not being in pain as you age, be able to lose fat and hit your body goals, and preventing diseases like dementia - hear her out.

She changed my life single-handedly (no exaggeration!) by teaching me about protein + I've vowed to pass this knowledge on to all my clients.

I recommend starting with Episode #53: Protein for Muscle and Metabolism: When and How Much? | Donald Layman PhD.โ€‹

WHAT'S GOING ON IN MY LIFE:

Going based off the podcast, I've started to re-evaluate what "being healthy" means to me. To me, building muscle is the long-term goal I'm focusing on to actually build the shape I want. I found myself wanting to lose weight to just be skinny, but I found myself hungry ... ALL THE TIME.

Not eating to be skinny is not healthy to me. I want muscle, I want a healthy gut so I can still eat my favorite foods without a upset stomach, and I want a protein-focused diet to keep my blood sugar balanced. Simple ๐Ÿ˜‚

Also, I will work and put on Divorce Court in the background + watch it for hours. My guilty pleasure!
